Welcome to Government Model Degree College Devidhura, Champawat. This College was established in the year 2014 as a government degree college running by Government of Uttarakhnad to cater to the needs of higher education of the youths of Devidhura and surrounding areas. It was affiliated to Kumaun University Nainital till 2020 and with the establishment of the Soban Singh Jeena University Almora in 2020, the college got affiliated to it. It is recognized by University Grants Commission under section 2 [F] of the UGC act 1956. Uttarakhand State Government took an important decision in the 2015 to develop this college as a first Model college of Uttarakhand with the aim of improving the quality of higher education. The college has highly qualified faculty in all the departments and it aims to provide qualitative education keeping in view the demands and aspirations of the students and other stakeholders. Large number of students seeking admission in this college for various program of study is a challenging task for the authorities of the college. Since its beginning, there has been continuous increase in the number of students seeking admission in this college. The college offers UG courses in faculty of arts and science… It is the collective responsibility of all the faculties and students to develop a conducive environment to foster the growth of intellectually sound, innovative youth and promote the values of democracy, national integration, communal harmony and social equality. This can be done by creating and developing the scientific temper in students.
A number of extracurricular and extension activities- NSS, Rovers/ Rangers of the college provide the right platform for in calculating these values among the students. So let us come forward to think and act rationally and develop a scientific temper by adopting a scientific approach so as lead ahead to the path of knowledge. This can be achieved by creating and developing scientific and rational temperament among the students.
